To Blog or Not to Blog, Benefits of a Blog

To blog or not to blog? In recent years the web has spouted up hundreds of thousands of Blogs (Web logs). The content is as wide as the web itself. Some contain highly technically, scientific date. Others contain a teen girls ideas for a better local prom.

So should you include a blog in your site. If your interested in marketing your website and utilizing a leading web public relations tool, the yes, you should include a blog.

Basic blogging benefits:

Ease of use: Most, or at least the popular blogging software is very, very user friendly. This gives non-web professionals (i.e. your clients) an intuitive interface for adding content to their website.

Credibility: Publishing informative articles and resources in a blog can build credibility and establish the writer as an expert in the content area.

Marketing: When done correctly, a blog can increase your search engine ranking by creating more content on your website and creating links to your website.

These are three basic, but very powerful, reasons for including a blog in a website. Obviously, the information could be expanded in much greater detail. We did not discuss social networking and the online community aspects of a blog, but if you are looking for 3 powerful arguments the points above are the most noteworthy.
